Editor in Chief: Herbert Michael Hernandez is the creator and founder of HMHnyc.com. Herb is a self-taught artist as well as a performer and trained dancer. “Whatever Herb decides to do, he does and does it with artistry and style.” His NYC career has included his own fashion line, photography and art exhibits, performances, writing, meditation, and spiritual guidance as a noted visionary. Herb Hernandez has appeared in publications including: The New Yorker, New York Newsday, Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, Time Out NY, Paper Magazine, The Villager, Restaurants USA, Encore, Travel & Leisure as well as international publications and television. Herb is a native New Yorker who’s family immigrated here from Puerto Rico in 1930. “HMHnyc.com is my way of expressing my gratitude, love and passion for a city that has always supported me as an artist even when its administration didn’t. The stories my mother told me of growing up in Spanish Harlem, nightlife, celebrities, dance, museums and jumping roof tops as the “Masked Marvel” inspired me to have my own adventures in one of the greatest cities in the world.
