Princess of Wands – Impulsive Youth

February 4, 2012
By

wandsprs.jpgThe character of the Princess is extremely individual. She is brilliant and daring. She creates her own beauty by her essential vigour and energy. The force of her character imposes the impression of beauty upon the beholder. In anger or love she is sudden, violent, and implacable. She consumes all that comes into her sphere. She is ambitious and aspiring, full of enthusiasm which is often irrational.

6 of Swords – Science

February 2, 2012
By

six-swordsThe Six of Swords is called Science. Its ruler is Mercury, so that the element of success turns away from the idea of division and quarrel; it is intelligence which has won to the goal. The element of Air (mind) is supported by the elastic mind of Mercury that rules this card. Here the mind can move forward to solve problems and implement useful ideas which will secure a success.

Now that we have yesterday’s knowledge of what is real and imagined and some illusions have been shattered by the 10 of swords, we can move forward with a clear mind and plan!

The High Priestess – Intuitive Graces

January 30, 2012
By

priestessThe High Priestess lets us know that our subconscious is at work. She holds the mysteries of the Moon, the hidden part of our awareness, the psychic side. This is a great day for insight through meditation, prayer, directed thought and imagination. The feminine influence of this card allows for the needed emotional connection to your wishes and dreams. “Ask and you shall receive.” Put your good feelings into it and imagine the happiest, best outcome. She will pass this along to the Empress who will birth it into reality.

Pure, exalted and gracious influences enter the picture. Change for the better. Awareness of dualities. Enthusiasm needs direction so it doesn’t dissipate.

4 of Cups – Luxury

January 29, 2012
By

cups4Abandonment to desire. Pleasure mixed with anxiety. Blended success and pleasure coming to its end. The seeds of decay in the fruit of pleasure.

I look at it like a bowl of beautiful and ripe fruit. It can’t just sit there being beautiful forever. It will start to spoil soon. Something has to be done with the fruit; eat it, bake it into a pie, give it away… Sometimes I use fruit as a prop in my photographs. After its beautiful moments in front of the camera I can eat it :) and ask the beauty to continue living on inside of me.

Have a great day!

Queen of Swords – A Perceptive Woman

January 28, 2012
By

swordsqueenThe Queen brings the feminine element of water into the suit of air (swords). She represents a graceful woman, intensely perceptive, a keen observer, subtle interpreter, an intense indiviualist, confident, gracious and just.

I find that this card is good for making choices because of it’s balance of intellect and feeling. Great for being on either side of an interview also.

Have a great day!
